In Japan, summer means fireworks, festivals, and swimming. But around the world, people enjoy summer in many different ways!
🇯🇵 Japan（日本）
日本の夏は暑くて湿気があります。夏休みには、子どもたちはプールや川、海に出かけたり、お祭りで浴衣を着て、かき氷やたこ焼きを楽しみます。夜には花火大会もたくさん開かれます。
Summer in Japan is hot and humid. During summer vacation, children go swimming in pools, rivers, or the sea. They wear yukata at festivals, enjoy shaved ice and takoyaki, and watch fireworks at night.
🇺🇸 United States（アメリカ）
アメリカの夏はアウトドアが中心です。多くの子どもがサマーキャンプに参加したり、スポーツを楽しんだりします。7月4日の独立記念日には、家族でバーベキューや花火を楽しみます。
In the United States, summer is all about the outdoors. Many children join summer camps and play sports. On July 4th, Independence Day, families enjoy barbecues and fireworks.
🇫🇷 France（フランス）
フランスでは、8月に「グラン・ヴァカンス（長い休暇）」があります。多くの家族が海辺や田舎に出かけて、のんびりと過ごします。都市は静かになり、レストランやお店も休むことがあります。
In France, there is a long vacation called “les grandes vacances” in August. Many families travel to the countryside or seaside to relax. Cities become quiet, and some shops and restaurants close.
🇧🇷 Brazil（ブラジル）
ブラジルは南半球にあるので、夏は12月から2月です。人々は海に行き、サーフィンやスイカを楽しみながら、クリスマスも夏に迎えます。学校は長い夏休みに入ります。
Brazil is in the Southern Hemisphere, so summer is from December to February. People go to the beach, enjoy surfing and eating watermelon, and even celebrate Christmas in the summer. Schools have a long summer break.
🇰🇪 Kenya（ケニア）
ケニアは赤道の近くにあるため、はっきりした四季はありませんが、12月〜3月ごろは晴れて暖かい日が続きます。子どもたちは外でサッカーをしたり、家族と過ごす時間を楽しんだりします。
Kenya is near the equator, so there are no clear four seasons. However, from December to March, the weather is sunny and warm. Children play outside and spend time with their families.
🇨🇦 Canada（カナダ）
夏は短く爽やか。湖や森でキャンプやカヌーをする人が多く、大自然を満喫します。
Summer is short but refreshing. People enjoy camping, canoeing, and spending time in nature.
🇹🇭 Thailand（タイ）
4〜5月が一年で最も暑く、水かけ祭り「ソンクラーン」で涼を楽しみます。
April and May are the hottest months. People celebrate the Songkran water festival to cool down.
🇮🇹 Italy（イタリア）
7〜8月はバカンスシーズン。家族で海辺や山に出かけ、美しい自然の中で休暇を楽しみます。
July and August are vacation months. Families go to the seaside or mountains to enjoy their holidays in nature.
🇰🇷 South Korea（韓国）
蒸し暑い夏には冷たい麺やスイカが人気。川辺でテントを張って涼むのも定番です。
Korean summers are hot and humid. People enjoy cold noodles and watermelon, and relax in tents by the riverside.
🇦🇺 Australia（オーストラリア）
オーストラリアは南半球なので、夏は12月〜2月。ビーチで過ごすクリスマスや年越しが定番です。
In Australia, summer is from December to February. People often spend Christmas and New Year’s at the beach.
🇪🇬 Egypt（エジプト）
とても暑く乾燥しているので、日中は室内で過ごし、朝晩に外出することが多いです。
Egypt’s summer is extremely hot and dry. People usually stay indoors during the day and go outside in the early morning or evening.
